The EH&S Manager is a key member of the site Leadership Team and is responsible for driving EH&S initiatives while supporting the overall business strategy & success.   • Track proposed changes to federal, state, and local laws and regulations relating to HSEQ/ICS and security as they may impact operations.  This may include providing critical HSEQ/ICS input to senior management teams whom are deploying strategic business activities in a global market.  Activities may include performing due diligence for growth and acquisitions or divestitures, completing intra-company audits and reviews to peer evaluate various facilities throughout HCST operations, and posture the senior   management team so they can maintain a competitive edge within the dynamics of HSEQ/ICS issues as    they potentially affect key business decisions.

Qualifications –
  • B.S. degree required in technically related field (Industrial Safety, Environment or similar engineering discipline).  MS degree or advanced training and certifications in health, safety, and environmental disciplines preferred.
 
  • 7 to 10 years of previous experience working in dynamic manufacturing setting related to occupational safety, health, and/or industrial hygiene.

Requirements and Competencies

        • Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, safety management, or other closely related disciplines.
        • Solid interpersonal and communication skills
        • Leadership skills, a comfort level with change, and the ability to lead change
        • Ability to collaboratively work with all levels of the organization
        • Flexibility and availability to work overtime and weekends
        • Previous manufacturing experience preferred

Primary Responsibilities

        • Champions the Plant Wellness Program
        • Participates in the workers’ compensation process to effectively manage claims and affect remedies
        • Analyzes Plant injury trends and root causes
        • Conducts accident investigations and recommends strategies for corrective action
        • Assures accurate record keeping of medical records, OSHA Log, and PC Compliance database
        • Assists with environmental compliance
        • Assists with OSHA compliance
        • Provides technical training assistance to the line organization

Senior Manager – Safety, Health, and Environment

 

Hasbro is currently seeking a Senior Manager – Safety, Health, and Environment to join our team in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts. The individual in this position will provide the strategic vision for continuous improvement of occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental, medical, and workers’ compensation processes; establish SHE policies and processes for Hasbro NA - ELM site; provide technical expertise to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements in these five functional areas; lead conformance with the Corporate and OSHA VPP STAR safety system requirements and directs ELM site's VPP outreach, mentoring, special events, and SGE participation; lead conformance with local, state, federal, and ISO 14001 Registration Environmental Management System requirements covering hazardous waste, air emissions, solid waste, storage tanks, storm water and waste water.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience in a unionized manufacturing setting
  • Experience in process implementation and continuous improvement
  • B.S. Degree; Certified Safety Professional (C.S.P.)
  • 10+ years experience in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or equivalent
